Eligibility & Booking Rules
Rental Policies & Availability
Because Bear Tooth is an active single-screen cinema serving thousands of Anchorage filmgoers daily, private rentals operate under specific guidelines to ensure fair community access.
Rental Hours: Tue–Fri, 8 AM–4 PM
Rentals generally take place Tuesday through Friday during daytime hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Because Bear Tooth is a single-screen movie theatre with active daily programming, we do not do weekend or evening rentals outside of the winter holiday season (December 1–20).
4-Hour Rental Block
Every room rental includes a generous 4-hour time block, fully equipped with house sound, stage lighting, and big-screen cinema projection.
40 Person Minimum
You must have a party of at least 40 guests to schedule a private event rental.
3 Weeks Advance Notice
We require booking inquiries to be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to your requested date so our technical, catering, and operational staff can prepare.
Tiered Rates for Businesses, Schools & Non-Profits
Please let our team know if your organization is a registered non-profit, educational institution, or local business, as rental rates and community subsidies vary.

What's Included in Your Rental
Audio/Visual & Stage Production
Use of our cinema screen and state-of-the-art projection system, house sound & stage lighting, 5 wireless microphones, and two presentation podiums.
Movie Screenings & Licensing
Want to screen a movie? A film licensing fee applies (rates vary by distributor). We cannot show recently released films or movies actively in our theatrical run. Provide a list of 3 films and we will coordinate licensing.
Custom Catering Packages
Dedicated catering packages for your group. Individual ordering is not permitted at private events, and outside food or drink is strictly prohibited. Concessions (candy & desserts) available upon request.
Dedicated Bartending Service
A staffed bartender is available upon request. Bar options include an open hosted bar, cash bar, or drink ticket program featuring Broken Tooth Brewing beers and wine.
