Synopsis
October’s Staff Pick Series: Treasure Planet, presented by Chef Rachel! Every month, we showcase our hardworking Bear Tooth team’s favorite films. “ As a mom and former elementary school teacher, I’m a big fan and advocate for family cinema. As a millennial, Treasure Planet has been a favorite of mine since childhood. With its host of quirky characters, beautiful nostalgic art style, incredible emotive score, and roots in a timeless piece of literature, Treasure Planet is a fantastic film for audiences of all ages. On its 24th anniversary, we’re lucky to have the chance to experience this gem on the big screen—and there’s no better venue than the Bear Tooth! See you there.” When space galleon cabin boy Jim Hawkins discovers a map to an intergalactic “loot of a thousand worlds,” a cyborg cook named John Silver teaches him to battle supernovas and space storms on their journey to find treasure.
