Rudy ~ Presented by Anchorage Youth Soccer Club

Synopsis

Rudy grew up in a steel mill town where most people ended up working, but wanted to play football at Notre Dame instead. There were only a couple of problems. His grades were a little low, his athletic skills were poor, and he was only half the size of the other players. But he had the drive and the spirit of 5 people and has set his sights upon joining the team. From our partner: “AYSC chose to show because of its universal themes of relentless perseverance, teamwork, and overcoming adversity perfectly mirror the core values at AYSC. Youth sports are full of players who might feel overlooked, undersized, or less naturally gifted than their peers. Rudy tells the true story of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, a 5’6″ walk-on who achieves his dream through pure grit and work ethic. Rudy shows young soccer players that while they cannot always control their natural physical gifts, they have complete control over their attitude, effort, and determination.” GA $13 Part of the proceeds will benefit the Anchorage Youth Soccer Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
