This film tackles important questions about the American democracy crisis and how we can be part of the solution. Community councils are a key part of Anchorage’s civic lifeblood, composed entirely by nonprofit, voluntary, self-governing associations. Each council joins residents, property owners, business owners, and nonprofit together to ensure direct and continuous public participation in the government processand local affairs. Everyday Anchorage neighbors meet, engage, and advocate within their community councils. The FCC’s mission is to foster and support neighborhood engagement, helping individuals bring civic life into their communities.
